Welcome to Benjamin Banneker Charter Academy of Technology, a school where academic and social possibilities are created out of impossibilities. We always strive to maximize and improve prospects for learning. Teachers, staff, and administrators endeavor to create a warm, comfortable and positive environment, where learning is paramount and where every child is encouraged to achieve his/her own highest potential. Benjamin Banneker gives its highest priority to technology and literacy for all students.
Technology is critical and central to learning and literacy for all students. Benjamin Banneker's academic program includes students achieving proficiency in reading, writing, mathematics, science, technology, social science and the arts. At Benjamin Banneker, we provide meaningful learning experiences for all children helping them develop higher order skills and to function effectively in the world beyond the classroom. By combining "best practices" with highly qualified, professionally developed people, content, context, learning services and assessment, we have created the ideal school for a new century.
We are proud of our parental support. It is a imperative that home and school work together to promote learning possibilities. We have an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) working to bring additional educational services and programs to the school. We have created a community of learners, which foster quality instruction for the early years of education that will continue into later years.
