ABOUT US Benjamin Banneker Charter Academy of Technology, is a K-8th grade school with a population of 350 students. It is located at 6401 Rockhill Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Our charter supports rigorous accountability of students' growth and achievement as measured by state and national standards. Educational achievement is tracked through grade level expectations, diagnostic online math and reading assessments and curricular objectives that are aligned to the Missouri Show-Me Standards. Student success is continuously measured and documented through pre- and -post testing, longitudinal data, as well as portfolio and performance-based assessments. These on-going assessments provide the classroom teacher with information from multiple sources to assess learning, analyze results, develop improved teaching strategies and shape instruction to meet the needs of every student while further developing an "Individualized Education ACTION Plan" (IEAP) for each student. We, at Benjamin Banneker Charter Academy of Technology, believe that every child is gifted and we are committed to helping each child reach his or her fullest potential.
